(Electronics) I grabbed this one off the woot site - there was a link on that deals.woot site or something that linked to this product here on amazon. It was so cheap! I couldn't say no! I have a mess of old Sinatra records that I've always wanted to listen to and maybe transfer to my computer and now I finally can! What I like about this unit is a) It's wicked cheap. b) It's wicked light. c) speakers in front sound OK (hey, you're listening to 60 year old records - it ain't gonna be great! d) it has a cool blue light around the single knob up front - very cool looking! What I don't like about it is that a) It only powers up via the included USB cord. Now, that cord doesn't include a plug so you can't like, just plug it into the wall and start listening to your records. BUT - I have an extra USB-power outlet thing leftover from an older ipod or whatever and it worked just fine. So, I was able to listen to my records soon after getting this in the mail. (Electronics) I first saw this on Amazon and due to an earlier review decided to find a better deal, which i did find! This player is great if you just want to listen to records in your living room(15x20) or bedroom(12x12)...it wouldnt be very loud if u are trying to use it for large gatherings with people talking over it or in a very large room. My only complain would be that the volume control might as well only have 3 levels... low-med-high... when you try to move the volume dial anywhere in between you cant really tell the difference, but i guess it works for what i need. (Electronics) I bought this turntable for my almost 70 yr old mother. She loves it. She's able to listen to old records anytime she wants now. It has an extra needle and she was able to get it out and start it up easily (she is not the most tech oriented person). She has not converted anything to MP3 for the IPOD yet, but that is the plan. She's happy with the sound quality and seems to be a good value for the money. This will play 45, 33 and 78 records. |
