5.0 out of 5 stars Old time fun, November 16, 2011

I got this as a gift and set it up in my office at work. I mostly use the piece for the radio. Great reception. It has become a a conversation piece and the sound quality of the music is outstanding. The button labels are kind of difficult to read, as they are raised bronze on bronze. However, you get used to where they are located. Overall, it's easy to use and well made. I love attaching my iphone to it! The drawer on the side is niffty.

Its a quality music piece.

I really wanted to like this. It's visually stunning, a beautiful piece of design. Unfortunately it had serious problems and I was forced to return it. For such a high price, I would expect very few flaws. Instead, the left speaker crackled very badly right from the start, and the little drawer that is supposed to house your iPod was loose, unhinged somehow inside so that you couldn't push it in or pull it out properly. Very disappointing. However, we were able to connect it to our surround system to try, and the vinyl player sounds glorious. I just wish we had received a working product.

First of all, I just wanna say that its cool being able to play all my vinyl and cassettes on this one unit...it's pretty cool looking, kinda retro and the fact that I can plug my iPhone and mp3 players in plus theres a usb port to connect a computer too, all makes this a cool little stereo, BUT, there are some things that are just not good... Like I said, its fun and its neat playing some of my old vinyl but the sound on this little thing sucks big time...I have a set of external powered speakers that I plugged into the headphone out jack and it made it sound much better but if you are going to just use the built in speakers to this box....you will be very disappointed...it sounds a little better than a transistor radio...if you want all of these feature and good sound too..I would stay away from this stereo unless you have a good set of external speakers to plug in.

Once I plugged my speakers in I liked this much better. Still there are things that I don't like but for... Read more
