This is not true. My husband wears an 8 or 8.5 depending on the shoe/boot, so I bought a 9. The 9 was way too big, and I threw out the invoice accidently so I could not send them back for a smaller size. Otherwise, my husband does like the look and feel of the Lugz boot. I had to special order him a thick insole to ensure a more substantial fit. He is pleased, but recommends to order the boot in the wearers actual size, especially if the wearer has a wide foot!
