They are good if you want to see the actual contents of the bag, which might be important if you wanted to keep your different kinds of biohazardous waste sorted out. The bags are relatively small (2ft x 2ft) so they wouldn't hold more than a gallon or so of hazardous waste before becoming quite unsafe storage. Actually, I wouldn't try to put a gallon of waste in one of these bags, as I don't think the bag would hold that much weight without splitting--then you've got infectious waste just all over everything.
