The rise is perfect (4" difference between platform and heel heights) - this is one of the key things I look for in shoes I intend to wear for more than sitting around. Anything over a 4" rise will be very uncomfortable to walk around in - less than a 4" rise doesn't give the legs as nice a look.I am a fan of Jessica Simpson shoes because they have great style and usually wear well.
