The American Classic® line combines tradition and Vic Firth style. With bold designs for fuller sound, the Classics are turned from select hickory ? a dense wood with little flex for a more pronounced sound. Hickory is also capable of withstanding a great deal of shock, making it highly durable. The wood tips are deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response. The nylon tips are similar in size and shape to their wood counterparts, providing enhanced performance and a feel closer to their original wood tip models. Nylon tips are the most durable and brightest sounding on cymbals.

I have been a drummer for 46 years. For years I used Pro Mark. I swore by them.
I tried these sticks for the first time, last month, and I have to say that I will never, ever use another stick, or brand of stick. The craftsmanship is just phenomenal, as is the wood. To top it off, they are less expensive than Pro Mark sticks! THANK YOU, VIC FIRTH!

I've been drumming for 2 years now, i play rock and metal and i went a long time without good sticks. I was using cheap sticks i bought from a local music store , to hold me over until I could get some quality sticks and the difference is unbelievable. When you put these in your hands, right away you can just tell the quality and how precise these are made. i have tried Vic Firth 5A and Vic Firth 2B, but for my personal taste, nothing fits my hands or feels better than 5B. I definitely recommend giving these sticks a try even if you have a pair that you are accustomed to. You may be pleasantly surprised.
