When I bought it, it worked for a few days and then quit working. However, I contacted amazon and I received a new turntable within a week (and I didn't have to pay shipping on it or pay shipping to return the broken one). It has been working constantly for the last three months and sound great! Also, it has the option to convert records to mp3 files. If you are hoping to convert the records in this way, make sure you have a computer that can play mini-cd's because the software for converting the records is on a mini-cd.
