After being disappointed by the movie Dragon Ball Evolution, I was looking for a new and better outlet for Dragon Ball and found this game. There aren't that many video games modeled after the original DB and this the first one to be released to North American home consoles that wasn't "americanized" and the wasn't a portable. The main game is in the style of an old school beat-em up but with 3D graphics and keeping with the old school style, this game is pretty tough. Not Mega Man Or Ninja Gaiden Hard though, you know that good kind of hard. You have to keep in mind that this is Kid Goku...the storyline takes place when he was a strong, kinda stupid kid learning about the world for the first time. This game was actually a 2.5D side scrolling adventure RPG made for the Wii. If you are familiar with the dragonball RPGS for gameboy advance, this is something similar to the experience you will be able to play on the Wii.The story is pretty much Young Goku's adventures of the original Dragonball series but the story is more an emphasis on the King Piccolo ark line. The controls are simple and easy to get into, the game play itself is a bit repetitive since it is mostly side scrolling platforming, fighting, and puzzle solving. Even though it is repetitive, it's not boring when it comes to the boss battles, many hardcore Dragonball fans will remember the old characters both heroes and villains of the series.
